To stimulate academic research in transport and logistics, BIVEC-GIBET is offering two awards to the best papers presented at the conference.

Papers submitted by authors younger than 30 will be considered for the Best Junior Paper Award consisting of a one-year free membership of BIVEC-GIBET and 500 EUR.

All papers submitted to the conference are able to enter the overall Best Paper Award competition offering a two-year free membership of BIVEC-GIBET and 750 EUR.

Call for Abstracts

The 7th BIVEC-GIBET Transport Research Days will take place on Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24 2019 in Ghent, Belgium, organized by the Social and Economic Geography (SEG) Research Group of the Geography Department of Ghent University. The Transport Research Days offers young and established scholars from the three Benelux Countries an opportunity to present their research findings to an informed audience of transport researchers. The conference will take place at Campus De Sterre.

On this occasion, dr. Jos Delbeke, currently holder of the BIVEC Transport Chair, will give a public lecture on "Climate change in respect to transport issues" (TBC).

Colleagues from the Benelux-universities and research institutions, who are doing research on any topic related to transport, mobility and logistics, are invited to submit «extended abstracts» for selection as conference contributions.

All abstracts will be peer reviewed by a scientific committee. Your abstract must not exceed 1,500 words (spaces included). It must be typed in Times New Roman size 12 single-spaced. Abstracts must be submitted to by January 31, 2019 at the latest.
