Disrupted Supply Chains in Challenging Times: Implications for military
mobility

Monday 16 March 2026 - Benelux House of the Benelux Union

This half-day seminar explores how ongoing Geopolitical tensions are disrupting supply
chains and what this means for military mobility in Europe.

Jointly organised by the Benelux Union and BIVEC-GIBET, the event is part of the BIVEC-GIBET Transport Chair 2024 and marks the third and final lecture of the current Chair holder, Prof. Johan Woxenius (University of Gothenburg). Building on his lecture on logistics disruptions in today's geopolitical context, the seminar broadens the discussion to military mobility. The seminar brings together perspectives from logistics research, defence studies and policy, addressing a topic that is gaining increasing prominence on both political and research agendas in the Benelux and beyond.
